Who are Seniors Real Estate Specialists?

Seniors Real Estate Specialists® are Realtors® who are qualified to meet the special needs and concerns of seniors and their families. The Senior Advantage Real Estate Council®, a national program founded in 1998, offers the specific designation, SRES® to identify those members who have successfully completed its education program and other prerequisites. By earning the SRES® designation, Alyson has the requisite knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients and their families through the major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocation, refinancing or selling the family home. Alyson has received specialized training and is prepared to offer appropriate options in helping clients make these life-changing decisions.

Who are Certified Home Marketing Specialists?

Certified Home Marketing Specialists are Realtors® who have successfully completed a comprehensive course focusing on specific marketing strategies. These strategies include property positioning to appeal to specific home-buying emotions and pricing tactics that assist in selling homes faster and at higher prices. This marketing perspective i especially important when homes are competing for buyers. Staging a property correctly assists buyers in seeing the true potential of a home, an essential element in the purchasing decision. Our "Dress Your House For Success" program is an important part of every successful real estate sale we achieve.

How did we get into this business?

Movers & Stagers began several years ago when we were faced with coordinating several long-distance moves for our aging parents and family members. We realized then that our senior family members had a great deal of difficulty coping with the process of moving from a large homes to a smaller apartments and assisted-living facilities. It was necessary to clean out several homes and prepare them for sale. It took a lot of time and patience. If we had only known a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® or a Move Manager, it would have reduced the number of expensive and time-consuming out-of-state trips.

What did we learn?

These experiences helped us develop our plan for Movers & Stagers. As experienced Realtors®, we were able to expand our sales training, marketing strategies, staging and organizational skills to help seniors and their families with this difficult process. We have since developed relationships with movers, charities and clean-out services to help make senior relocation and transition as easy and stress-free as possible for our clients.
